Promoting and sustaining a strong local economy is one of the top priorities of the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce. As our mission states: The goal of the Chamber is to promote and foster the economic vitality and quality of life in the Cerritos area by being an accessible resource to not only Chamber Members, but to the entire business community.

 

As a regional Chamber with members in over 32 surrounding cities, the Cerritos Regional Chamber provides support, resources, services, and opportunities for all existing and prospective businesses in the region. Our goal is to help create and sustain successful business ventures that will benefit the economic vitality of the entire Cerritos region. The Chamber strives to promote and enhance the commercial, professional, economic, educational, cultural and environmental well being of Cerritos through a myriad of programs and activities, which include legislative advocacy, economic development campaigns, partnerships with local educational institutions, business development opportunities and “member-only” benefits and services.

 

The Cerritos Chamber also plays a critical role in regional alliances and partnerships, including collaborations with local and regional Chambers of Commerce, Small Business Development Centers, Economic Development Centers, Workforce Investment Boards, and countless other local, state, and federal agencies. The Cerritos Chamber played a key role in establishing the City of Cerritos' Economic Development Commission - with 3 of the 5 original commissioners Cerritos Chamber Board Members.

 

The mission, goals, and internal and external projects and programs of the Cerritos Chamber prioritize Economic Development and Sustainable Business Development issues, primarily small business development, retention, recruitment, and growth. One of the main goals of the Chamber is Sustainability: To preserve the existing economic structure while promoting the enhancement of a strong and diverse economic base. The Chamber plays an integral role in sustaining existing businesses and helping them grow and succeed (retention), as well as developing and attracting new businesses to help sustain our existing business climate (recruitment).

 

With an aggressive Strategic Plan to help fulfill our long and short-term goals, the Cerritos Chamber of Commerce will continue to implement new programs and services, including the expansion of our Business Resource Library, free business counseling with SCORE counselors, as well as continue to offer our current services and resources to the business community, residents, and the City of Cerritos. These include top quality luncheon programs bringing timely information to members, events for powerful networking, educational programs to keep employers well prepared to meet the challenges from new legislation and a very competitive market place, publications with excellent advertising opportunities and quality/timely information, and a membership that is dynamic and growing.
