Quality Education
Quality education from preschool to college is available in the Cerritos Region. The Chamber and the community take an active role in encouraging education at all levels. Families are attracted to the area by the outstanding ABC Unified School District, Bellflower Unified School District, ABC Adult School, Cerritos College, as well as private institutions of Fremont College, DeVry University, and Irvine University.
ABC Unified Schools provide a comprehensive curriculum including all levels of academics, diverse vocational training, and a broad range of extracurricular activities. As part of ABC Unified, Whitney High School, an “academy” for seventh through twelfth grade students, boasts numerous awards and provides all students with a college preparatory education.
Over eight private school organizations also exist in Cerritos, including Concordia Lutheran School, serving families who desire a religious learning atmosphere for their children.
