The Blinking Cursor Wins

I’ve now started and deleted about five different posts for this week’s edition of “Scott’s Thoughts.” I’ve really got nothing. I know, it’s shocking that I don’t have much to say. All I know is our nation and those impacted by Harvey and Irma, not to mention the wildfires spread across the west, need all the thoughts and prayers (and donations) they can get. It’s times like these when I hope we can put our petty differences aside and come together as a nation to help our fellow citizens and neighbors. However, the cynic in me can only think that these tragic events will end up politicized. I guess time will tell. For now, I’ll keep those in harm’s way in my thoughts and will be praying for my aunt and uncle in Miami Beach, who were evacuated this morning.

We are now only a few weeks away from the 2017 Taste of the Region & Business Expo with Premier Sponsor Trinity Worldwide Reprographics. I’m pleased to tell you we have over 20 local restaurants participating and about another 60 exhibitors. This year’s event will be a great evening of seeing old friends, making new friends, tasting delicious food, checking out new cars, visiting with local businesses, and listening to great music – all for just $10. This is the best value in town. I want to thank all who plan to attend, and I hope the rest of you can make it. Put Wednesday the 27th on your calendar, and we’ll see you at CCPA.

Speaking of seeing you, I hope we see you all at next week’s Let’s Do Breakfast & Learn at Rosewood’s Family Restaurant. Not only will you enjoy a delicious breakfast, but you will learn all you need to know before you purchase your next car from Chamber Board member and Mr. Lexus himself, Desmond Thompson. Space is limited, so we need your RSVP!  See below for more info.

Have a great weekend and I promise I’ll have something better for you to read next week.
