Scott's Thoughts

From the Chamber to Our Members

The Chamber strives to bring our members value. Primarily in the form of tangible resources that bring a benefit to the members business. During the course of the chamber year we seek to deliver as many resources, tools and opportunities as we can possibly fit into our schedule.

Such was the occasion of the Chamber to Chamber Breakfast Networking on Tuesday at Rosewoods restaurant. Bringing together two great chambers (if I do say so myself) to provide opportunities to meet new people, network and develop relationships. It was also an opportunity for Ramon and Araceli (Ramon’s daughter) to show-case their fabulous food. Thank you, Ramon and Araceli, for exceeding our expectations and providing an excellent setting for this opportunity.

Another such opportunity was our monthly Jeans and Java, hosted by Starbucks. This light and casual networking event occurs the last Friday of each month and boasts a rousing group of members and non-members alike. Most people start their day with some type of coffee (there are way too many options to list them all) and this monthly event is a great way to start your Friday with a refreshing beverage and some smiling faces. Come check it out see for yourself how many smiles are shared. Due to the upcoming holidays, our next Jean & Java will be January 31st.

Speaking of sharing; we have some absolutely fantastic wonderfully awesome news to share. Monday morning, October 28th, the Chamber will be launching the much anticipated new Chamber Website. Are you as excited as we are? I certainly hope so. We’ll be featuring much more visual content and an opportunity for all of our members to enhance their own membership listing in the Business Directory. Be sure to take a moment on Monday to browse through and let us know your thoughts.

One final thought. You can take advantage of this medium to have your open hiring positions listed in the Job Alerts section below. Finding your next hire is critically important to your business; why not use every possible means to assure that you attract the best. Shoot me an email with the details and I’ll be sure to share.

Well, there it is, another busy week and a successful week if I do say so myself.
