Choices

Every day we face choices. Some choices are very simple and perhaps even easy. It is the more difficult choices that require more thought, and more knowledge with which to make the best decision. The Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce is going to try to help make some of those choices easier. Because information and knowledge are such a vital part of the choices process, it is our goal and desire to be a resource.

The recently announced Business Educational Series is intended to be an informational resource. One that will directly benefit the local businesses, whether they are member of the Chamber or not. Of course, I believe that every business should be a member of your local Chamber and we are choosing to invest in you. Member businesses will be presenting on a wide range of topics in which they are the field expert. The Cerritos Chamber wants to be a champion for choices.

There is a big choice coming up in a few weeks. The citizens of Cerritos will be voting on some very important choices. Here again, the Cerritos Chamber wants to assist in the information and edification necessary to make these important decisions. One of the choices to be made is the three open positions in the city council. While the Cerritos Chamber cannot specifically endorse any candidate, we feel it is important to support the election process. We will be hosting a Candidate Forum on Wednesday, February 13th at the Cerritos City Hall Council Chambers. The Forum begins at 6:30PM with the doors opening at 6:00PM. Everyone should choose to vote.

Another big choice coming on the March 3rd Election Day, is Measure C. Again the Cerritos Chamber cannot provide an endorsement in favor or against the Measure, but we can provide information and assistance in the decision making process. The City of Cerritos also cannot specify an endorsement in favor or against, but they have put together an information sheet to assist in the edification process. The City has produced a flyer with detailed information about Measure C. You can read this by clicking on this link http://www.cerritos.us/main/election/2020/_pdfs/measure_c_flyer.pdf or you can go directly to the City of Cerritos website at www.cerritos.us and click on the link to Measure C Information.

And finally, I hope you make the choice to participate in this year’s Chamber Golf Tournament – Golf For a Cure on May 4th. Come to golf, come to have fun or come to help us make this event an easy choice. This important fund raiser not only benefits the Cerritos Chamber, but your local Relay for Life team as well. As we all know…CANCER SUCKS. Yes, I just chose to put that in writing, my choice.

Also, we hope you choose stop into the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce and just say hello. We look forward to seeing you.

Scott
