I know we’ve all heard the phrase “the only constant in life is change.” Yes, this is true, but it doesn’t mean it’s easy. In fact, change can hurt. Case in point: we are going through some changes at the Chamber. The office is undergoing a bit of a remodel, with new paint and carpet coming this weekend. For the staff, this has been a long time coming. Let me tell you, this change really hurts – we are all sore from packing boxes and moving items (my back is shot!). I have to admit it’s been fun too. We’ve come across very old Chamber “artifacts” from years gone by.
Looking at old photos and documents tracing this impact this organization has had in the local community has been fascinating. Sometimes I forget how interwoven the Chamber has been with the fabric of this community over the years, but these artifacts show we’ve had involvement in helping the local economy for over 50 years. This makes me proud – to be part of something special. We may do things a bit differently from years ago, but the Chamber remains focused on doing all we can to improve the local economy. I suppose some things don’t change after all.
Have you ever wondered how to get your message out to Chamber members? If so, give me a call or shoot me an email so we can discuss how to build your brand through the Chamber. We have so many cost-effective ways to market your business and build your brand. We would LOVE to help your business!
