The event is attended by Chamber staff, Ambassadors, and Board Members. The Chamber staff presents the business with a Membership Plaque while local city and government officials are invited to present proclamations and certificates as well.
Community Holiday Drives
While many of our Chamber events have been specifically created for our membership, some events have been established to promote good will and provide a venue for Chamber members to involve their employees and customers to give back to their community. Each November, the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce selects a non-profit organization to be the recipient of the Chamber’s Holiday Drive. The selected non-profit organization gives the Chamber a wish list of items that would benefit their organization. Both Chamber and non-Chamber businesses may elect to have a collection box delivered to their businesses to collect donations. The Chamber promotes the Holiday Drive to its membership as well as to the community. All donations are delivered to the Chamber’s annual Holiday Luncheon in December, where they are presented to the recipient’s organization.
Philanthropic Events & Activities
Chamber members have many opportunities to connect with the community through Chamber events and activities. By embracing the spirit of giving back, Chamber members can learn about and connect with Cerritos Regional Chamber’s non-profit organizations. Businesses may show their support of the community by asking attendees of their Ribbon Cutting events to donate a specific item for a non-profit organization. Restaurants might help community organizations with their fundraising efforts by giving back a percentage of an organization’s proceeds when they hold a fundraiser at their business. Chamber members can promote themselves through financial sponsorships or by donating a raffle or door prizes at Chamber and community events. The Chamber helps businesses connect with the community and charitable organizations as well as promote their community-related events.
