Minimum Wage Information

Recently, the State of California passed minimum wage increase legislation impacting employers throughout the State. Beginning on January 1, 2017, employers with less than 25 employees must pay a minimum wage of $10 per hour. Those employers with more than 25 employees must pay $10.50 per hour. These wages will continue to increase each year until 2023. The County of Los Angeles also raised the minimum wage, which will be phased in from 2016 to 2021. The County’s wage only impacts the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated areas within the County. In the City of Cerritos, the minimum wage will follow the State’s phased-in schedule of increases.
